4:10
"Humble
yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you." ESV
To humble
ourselves is to see others as more important. Being humble is thinking about
ourselves less and about others more. If we refuse to humble ourselves, God
will do it for us, because He loves us and desires for us to walk in humility as
He did. If we walk in humility, He will lift us up.
Heavenly Father,
forgive us for our self-pride. Help us to see ourselves as we really are so that
we will walk in humility and thereby be pleasing to You. We pray in Jesus' name,
Amen.
