Romans 12:9
"Let love be genuine.
Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good." ESV
There is no way we can
"pretend" to have Godly love. True Godly love will be repelled by and stay far
away from evil, seeking out only that which is good. Those who "pretend" to be
full of God's love are those who get tangled up in deceit and evil ways. True
Godly love overcomes evil.
Heavenly Father, put away from
us all pretense of Your love and fill us with Yourself, which is love. Help us
to recognize the difference between Your love and imitations of It. In Jesus'
name we pray, Amen.
