FOLLOWING

Matthew 4:19   "And he said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.'" ESV   Following Christ is no easy task. It means we will be imitating the things Jesus did while He was on earth. We will be patterning ourselves after the ways He treated others. We will purpose to be like Him in His fellowship with the Father. If we follow Him in these ways, we are lifting Him up. Jesus told us in His Word that if we lift Him up, He will draw all men to Him. Our spiritual nets will be full and overflowing with the catch of those who have been touched by Christ through us.   Heavenly Father, we long to be like You. Help us to fill our hearts and minds with the things of God so that we will be more like You. We thank You and glorify Your name at the number of people who will be drawn to You by Your sacrifice at Calvary through our commitment to following You.
