Deuteronomy
8:17
"Beware lest
you say in your heart, My Power and the might of my hand have gotten me this
wealth." ESV
We work for what
we have and have accumulated what we have, because the Lord has provided the way
and the strength for us to do it. We cannot forget that what we have is not
ours, but it all belongs to Him. It's best we don't get too attached to "our
things."
Heavenly Father,
forgive us for taking credit for the things we have and the positions in life we
have achieved. Help us to humbly remember that it is only by Your grace that we
are what we are and have what we have. We pray in Jesus' name,
Amen.
