Galatians
5:1
"It is for
freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, the, and do not let yourselves
be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." NIV
"Stand fast
therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not
entangled again with the yoke of bondage." KJV
Without the truth
of the light of Christ, we are totally unaware that we are chained to sin,
slaves of the evils of this world. Christ died to set us free to live holy lives
that gives us clean hearts and peaceful minds. If we fail to keep our faith
strong or let down our guard, the enemy will pull us back into the same
chains of slavery.
Heavenly Father,
we thank You for the sacrifice You made for us to be free from the strongholds
of this world. Help us to stay alert and strong in faith so that we don't drift
back into bondage. We pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
