earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away." KJV
It's pretty well
understood that the things of this world are temporary. But we do get involved
with people and people make promises. We deal with businesses who guarantee
their products. But there are always betrayals and change of plans that
disappoint and create mistrust. There is one sure thing we can count on even
when we feel all is lost. It is the Word of God. What He said will never betray
us, or change in any way, or leave us. We can forever have hope and trust that
His Word stands forevermore.
Heavenly Father,
we give You thanks and praise for Your eternal Word. There is nothing in this
world we can count on. Give us a greater hunger for Your Word, so that it will
abide in us while we are waiting for Your return. In His name we pray,
Amen.
