How can we help
others with their problems when we have our own with which to contend? Yet, we
are told to help others with their burdens. The Lord doesn't ask us to do
anything that He doesn't give us the grace and power to do. If we love God with
all of our being and we love others as we love ourselves, we will be able to
come alongside and help others with their burdens. That is fulfillment of what
Christ said are the greatest commandments.
Heavenly Father,
forgive us for getting so caught up in our own lives and issues that we walk
past those who are so burdened they cannot move forward. Give us hearts of love
that we will fulfill Christ's law by giving of ourselves to our fellowmen when
they are so burdened down. We pray in His precious name, Amen.
