We live in a world
that surrounds us with many dark and evil things. People that we are around
every day, at school, at work, in our neighborhood, or even our own homes, are
frequently committing speech and actions that belong to the dark world of the
evil one. How often do we just shake our head, say nothing, and walk away? How
often do we just simply overlook it as though it didn't exist? The Word tells us
that we are not only to having nothing to do with such people, but we are also
to speak out with courage to let them and those around know that their behaviors
are useless for anything good, but only destroy and tear down.
Heavenly Father,
forgive us for not taking a stand against the deeds of darkness and sin that
goes on all around us. Give us boldness in the Holy Spirit to speak the words
that expose these deeds as evil and to turn our backs on those who continue in
doing them. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
