may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way; bearing fruit in

work, and increasing in the knowledge of God."KJV
How do we live a
life worthy of the Lord? It certainly cannot be within our own power, as we are
human and imperfect. It cannot be by what we feel 'living worthy' means, because
we are all so different in our beliefs of what that might be, there would be no
unity among us. Just as it says in the preceding verse, we pray to be filled
with the knowledge and wisdom of the Lord through His Spirit, so that we will in
obedience to that, walk worthy (v.9). It's the only way. We have access to it.
Let us walk in it and please our Lord.
Heavenly Father,
we thank You that You have provided the way for us to walk worthy in Your
presence. Help us to be disciplined and obedient so that we will walk as You
want us to walk. We ask in Jesus' name, Amen.
