Philippians 4:6,7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and you minds in Christ Jesus." NIV "Be careful about nothing; but in every things by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made know unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." KJV Are we finding ourselves stuck in a dark emotional pit that hounds us with negative thoughts and feelings? It is not difficult to get there living in this world. When we find ourselves there, we can redirect our thoughts to God's Word. There we will find all the hope and positivity in all of God's creation. The world is God's creation. If we look for the best in it and trust Him to take care of the rest, we will have peace. Heavenly Father, so often we allow the negativity of this world to creep into our minds and we get stuck in the pit of spiritual depression. Forgive us and help us to recall the Words of Life You have given us to help us find peace and assurance in difficult times. We pray this in Jesus' name, Amen. ©2011 Daily Grace Bobbi Craigmyle, Psy.D., BCPCC No Copyright Infringement Intended Personal Use Only | ||
Very good verses for us to meditate on, especially in light of the 10th anniversary of 9-11 when so many may feel anxious again.
