1 Peter 1:15
"But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do." NIV
"But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation." KJV
God has not called us to be perfect like He is perfect, but He has called us to be holy as He is holy. If we are truly born again, committed to following Christ, we will begin to conform our attitudes and behaviors to be Christlike. We emulate the One we worship and adore. Being holy is being Christlike.
Heavenly Father, since it is not within us naturally to be holy, we ask you earnestly for Your Holy Spirit to help us be more Christlike, holy, in all we think, say, and do. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
