HIS WORD ALWAYS WORKS

Isaiah 55:10-11

"As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." NIV

"For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." KJV

From the beginning of human existence, God's Word has been twisted and challenged by Satan. In our world today, the Word of God is seen as merely symbols and generational legends that weak Christians blindly hold on to for imagined faith. The truth is, the Word of God will endure forever, while Satan's lie will perish with him and his followers in due time. Whenever God's Word is spoken it remains and echoes throughout time to change the hearts of those who open their hearts to it by the prompting of the Holy Spirit. Every Word spoken by God will accomplish all He has purposed. Our part is to make His Word so much a part of ourselves that we live it out and give it out every moment we live.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your Word that endures forever. Help us to hunger for Your Word so that it will become part of us and we can take it to a lost and dying world. In Jesus' name, Amen.

  1. We so need the true Word of God in our lives. Why, oh why, does humanity continue to twist and spin his meaning?
