Isaiah 41:10
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed,
for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my RIghteous right hand." (NIV)
"Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed;
for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will
help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right
hand of my righteousness." (KJV)
Our world is fraught with anxiety and fear. If we are
honest with ourselves, we will admit that we have
fear in our lives. We tend to get discouraged while
we watch the world getting more evil day by
day. If we remember that the great I AM is our God,
we will have the assurance and peace knowing He
will give us the strength and help we need to be
victorious in whatever we encounter. Our God is
continually holding us up with His right hand, and
Jesus Christ sits at His right hand interceding for
us.
Heavenly Father, forgive us when we allow fear
and discouragement to overtake us. Help us to
clothe ourselves with the faith and understanding
that you are our God and You are providing all we
need to succeed in our earthly walk, no matter
what comes our way. We thank you for that and
pray this in Jesus' name, Amen.

ReplyDeleteIsn't it comforting to know that He can calm those fears and replace them with peace.
ReplyDeleteThank-you for this scripture and the prayer. They are both comforting.

ReplyDeleteHi (((Bobbi))), :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog and commenting! :-)
This is an interesting blog entry. You see, for years I've felt I was a very secure person. No fear here! (Yeah right...)
Just lately the Lord has shown me that I am anxious / fearful of the unknown.
The evil one loves to lie to us--to take our eyes off of the Lord and to get us to focus on anything other than the Lord.
It has helped me to remember God's promises (love the scripture you quoted) & to remember that the fear he attacks us with is what amounts to a smoke screen:
*F* False
*E* Evidence
*A* Appearing
*R* Real
The key is to step through the smoke screen while continuing to seek the Lord and His holy & perfect will.
I write this, praying that He continues to help me with this...
Praying the Lord's abundant blessings on you,
Love in Christ Jesus,
ooly!
