James 4:8
"Come near to God and He will come near to you. . . ." (NIV)
"Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." (KJV)
God awaits our drawing near to Him so that He can move
to meet us. It is like a dance in perfect rhythm. As
Christians, we come near to God with innocence and purity,
separate from the world. Oh that we would always be
drawing near to Him.
Heavenly Father, so often we get too busy to set aside
the things that distract us and we fail to draw near to
you. Forgive us, Lord, for not prioritizing our time in a
more Godly way. Help us to be sensitive to the prompting
of the Holy Spirit to draw closer to you and meet you in
sweet communion. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

ReplyDeleteThat devotion is so beautiful and just what I needed for today. Thank you for visiting my blog. I do have this thing for clothes and I believe it is a part of the creativity that the Lord has blessed us with.
ReplyDeleteI'm an early "Senior" and I wish I had of know about this when I was planning a career. Wouldn't it be great to use this fondness for textures, colors, and fashion fun for His glory? That would be so neat.
