PATIENCE OF GOD

So many people, including Christians, ask God why
He allows evil men to flourish and enjoy their dishonest
gain. Especially when we have been wronged by
someone who defies the ways of the God. The Lord is
not impatient like we are. When the time is right, and
His timing is perfect, He will bring justice and penalties
like a swirling hurricane that destroys everything in its'
path. All we have to do is pray, wait, and watch with
Him.

Heavenly Father, forgive us when we become impatient
and want to see those who have hurt us get what they
deserve. When we see them continuing on in their evil
ways and they seem to be getting more and more of the
good things in life, we become angry and impatient.
Help us to rest in knowing that You will take care of
the situation in Your time. In Jesus' name.

Read Nahum 1:3

"The Lord is slow to anger and great in power; the Lord
will not leave the guilty unpunished. His way is in the
whirlwind and the storm, and clouds are the dust of his
feet." (NIV)

"The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will
not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in
the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust
of his feet." (KJV)

  1. WONDERFUL post. Sometimes we need reminding, don't we? It's SO hard to walk away, trusting God to bring about what's right when all we want to do is "stick it to 'em". But God is faithful & the battle, ultimately, is His. Thanks for this reminder!

  5. This is so true. We have a tendency to get revenge when we are wronged. We need to let God take care of it. He knows so much more about it than we do and is so much more capable of dealing with it. Thank you for this reminder.

  6. Oh, this is so true, but I came to live in New Orleans after Katrina and I honestly don't know how everyone coped the way they did...it is astounding...But, I believe it is because there are people with so much faith in this area...what a blessing!

And I love your story about your mom...what a special woman and a beautiful testament to how lucky we are when we have caring parents. I love how you said she kept praying no matter what.

    Have a good weekend!
    Hugs,
    Cindy

  9. Excellent points. When we think about it, we should actually be very grateful that God is patient because we benefit by it as well. Thanks for sharing these thoughts.

  10. Thanks for stopping by Places of my Heart, I would not hav found Daily Grace. Yes, HE will render the ultimate justice. But, isn't it great that HE provides grace to those who do evil, if they are willing to repent and surrender to HIM.
