TALKING TO A FOOL

A fool is a person who lacks good judgment and has no common
sense. Arguing with a fool only brings us down to his level of
ignorance. We are wise to say nothing and just walk away. A
fool will not listen, therefore, let's save our energy for good use.
The fool will remain a fool.

Heavenly Father, we pray for wisdom to know when to speak and when to walk away. In Jesus' name.

Read Proverbs 26:4

"Do not answer a fool according to his folly, or you will be like him yourself." (NIV)

"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him." (KJV)

  1. Amen!

I used to spend a lot of time witnessing to religious people who just wanted to argue with me. I stopped doing that many years ago.

Jesus said, "Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Matthew 15:14

    Have a great weekend.

  2. A friend of mind once told me that his Pastor told the congregation that he would speak the truth in love to all, wise or fool, and keep moving, letting the Holy Spirit work on the harvest.

1 Corinthians 3:6-8 "I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor."

I may not waste my Christian witness time on a fool, who just wants to argue and attack, but I will say a pray and drop a seed before I leave, if I can. You never know, an Apollos may be right behind me! Blessings!
