The Apostles, writers of the New Testament letters and Gospels were not writing from hearsay or from other writings. They lived with Jesus, they talked with Him, they walked with Him, they sat at His feet listening to the Words He spoke, and
they saw Him as He ascended up to heaven. We can take the words we read as truth, first hand accounts of our Lord.
Heavenly Father, we thank you and praise you that you have given us your words of truth that will last forever and that will lead us to you. In Jesus' name.
Read 2 Peter 1:16
"We did not follow cleverly invented stories when we told you about the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty." (NIV)
"For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his
majesty." (KJV)
