If we find ourselves with a little feeling of delight and satisfaction
when someone gets caught in a sinful act, we are actually rejoicing
in evil--happy at someone's failing, enjoying the details of the acts
they committed. This is not love. We should be grieving that someone
was caught in the devil's snare, even if it was an enemy or someone
who hurt us. Likewise, love will cause us to be glad when truth and
goodness is manifested, even if it is through one with whom we have
conflict.
Read 1 Corinthians 13:6
"Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth." (NIV)
" [Love] Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth." (KJV)
