Love is active. Exposing an offense committed by someone is also active.
It is far better to act in love by letting go of an offense and keeping the door of unity open than to broadcast the offense and decrease the probability of reconciliation.
Read Proverbs 17:9
"He who covers over an offense promotes love, but whoever repeats the
matter separates close friends." (NIV)
"He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a
matter separateth very friends." (KJV)
