Human faith only goes as far as the human mind can understand. When we realize the limitations of our own faith, we are free to accept the free gift of faith from God. This faith will allow us to come to Him, seriously seek Him, and thereby find Him. The reward in that is from Him and is to make us more like Him.
Read Hebrews 11:6
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him."
